Grant application

The Foundation has a two-stage grant application process:

Stage 1:  Expression of interestThe expression of interest is designed to provide an outline of the funding request without being onerous to complete. In most cases it provides sufficient information to determine whether the request is one that can be progressed to a submission for Directors consideration. Please use the template supplied, complete each section and submit via email in word format.

IOOF Foundation Expression of Interest Form

Please aim to limit your expression of interest to three to four  pages in length. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility or the expression of interest, please contact the Foundation Manager.

Receipt of preliminary enquiries is acknowledged by email and in some cases, IOOF Foundation will request further information.

Stage 2:  Full application Following the expression of interest, some organisations will be requested to complete a more detailed application (by invitation only). We will provide a application form and require that grant seekers use this format and complete each section. Apart from the completed application we will require a copy of:

  • latest annual report
  • audited financial statements
  • constitution including Objectives/Statement of Purposes
  • Deductible Gift Recipient certificate from the ATO

All documents should be submitted by email. We understand that in some cases annual reports will need to be posted. We aim to be of assistance to grant seekers during the preparation of the application and encourage organisations to contact us with any queries that arise during this process.

Important information:

  • In conducting due diligence and preparing requests for consideration by the Directors, IOOF Foundation will contact grant seekers to work through any concerns or questions and may also request meetings or site visits.
  • We are grateful for grant seekers cooperation and patience and appreciate open communication throughout this process. Please note that it takes approximately three months for a decision to be made on enquiries that progress to a Directors submission.
  • Applications are considered regularly by the IOOF Foundation Directors and grant seekers will be advised of the outcome via email.
  • The Foundation has finite funds and will not be able to support all applications, no matter how worthy. Rejection of an application does not mean that it is not well regarded. Some applications may be reconsidered at a future time (at the discretion and invitation of the Trustee Directors).
